DIY Skin Perfecting Face Mask

With Tea Tree Essential Oil

Who said that having a flawless skin is not for everyone? Proper diet and high quality skin care products along with DIY beauty recipes from yours truly will help you to achieve the close-up picture ready skin you have always dreamed about.
There are many great face masks available on the market that are both natural and effective, but why buy if you can use ingredients from your own kitchen pantry and garden for a spa experience at home? 🙂 Exactly! If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I enjoy experimenting with natural ingredients and testing DIY recipes, and today I am sharing with you another mask for your skin. This mask reduces pores and fights fine wrinkles. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this mask, please avoid using it and explore my other great DIY face masks recipes.

INGREDIENTS:

1 egg white (I always use organic eggs from the local farm where their chicken roam around and enjoy their sun and fresh grass and Non-GMO feed)
3-4 drops of high quality Tea Tree essential oil. Tea tree oil is known for its skin clearing properties and it’s been used for many generations in skin care routines around the globe).
Organic corn or potato starch – 2-3 tsp (Great ingredients provide the best effect. Use organic to avoid GMO and unnecessary pesticides on your skin).

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a small glass or ceramic mixing bowl, whisk one egg white to a foamy consistency.
  2. Add tea tree essential oil. Mix together.
  3. Start adding corn/potato starch 1 tsp at a time and mixing well. Once you reached the consistency of sour cream your DIY skin perfecting mask is ready.
  4. Apply mask on cleaned face avoiding eye and lips area. You can apply it with your fingers, but I like using a special brush like this one. It’s soft, but it still allows me to apply my masks evenly and avoiding eye area with high precision level is an easier task.
  5. Allow to dry completely and wash off with warm filtered/spring water.
  6. Apply toner and then use your favorite nourishing cream. I liked how Tatcha Indigo Soothing Cream felt on my skin after this mask and made my face feel silky, protected and not greasy at all. Since this mask is to be done before going to bed, having nourishing but not heavy cream is very important to me.
It’s best to do this mask before going to bed. Do these masks as a course of 10 every 3 days and you should see a significant improvement in the appearance of your skin.
