We, ladies, know that sometimes it’s rather difficult to have our kids or significant others consume enough fruits and vegetables. But I learned from my own experience that there is an easier way to sneak in some healthy and truly good for you ingredients in everyone’s diet. Just put them all together in a smoothie cup! This is how we did it in our family, and I cannot be happier with the overall result!

My favorite smoothie recipe comes from months of experimenting. I noticed that it’s much easier if you start by introducing your body to simple pure fruit smoothies at first and then gradually move on to your veggies and healthy add-ons.

You might be asking yourself a question: “Why can’t I just eat my fruits and veggies in a salad, for example? Why do I want to go through a hassle of blending a smoothie?”  And it’s a great question! Exact same one I asked. The answer, actually, is very logical and convinced me- the biggest sceptic of them all (per my husband’s validation 🙂 ). So, the reason you want to start drinking smoothies is you will benefit more from drinking your vitamins rather than just taking a healthy bite out of that juicy strawberry.

We all heard a popular recommendation to chew your food well. I am the slowest eater, but no matter how hard we try, we still aren’t able to reach the level of absorption a good food processor can provide.   Once blended and even better-liquefied, your fruits, vegetables and healthy seeds turn into a super food, fully ready for an immediate absorption. This is very important and you will not just pass through all the goodness.
